The man who grew cactus
a hard day retired.
Harsh n bitter events sealed within
a bleeding arm revealed.
Earthen pot filled with soil
a soft bed prepared.
Love and care deep within
the spiny piece buried.
He took the cradle back yard
another urchin fostered.
Love and affection filled within
thorny poker watered.
Cactus cactus everywhere
not a fruit since reaped.
Happiness and joy within
no growing pains encountered.
Satisfied with no give or take
his hated friends admired.
No remorse or regret within
flying hug with open arms received.

Light carries the code of Universe
All frequencies are in fact equivalent in absoluteness. Shorter wavelengths or higher frequencies represent beginning of the world i.e. tighter space dimensions and dilated time. While the longer wavelengths or lower frequencies take us towards the end of this universe - i.e. expanded space dimensions and contracted time period.
Evolution of stars also confirms the same.

PHYSICS – UPSIDE DOWN
It is simple to understand. Speed of universe on a scale of 'C' (speed of light) to 'Zero' is the timeline i.e. a particular absolute speed corresponds to a particular time period. If one is able to attain an absolute speed other than that of the existing universe, one will find oneself in that time period. One can only go in past because it is possible to attain speed more than that of the present universe only. Future remains physically out of reach as going slower is not possible because absolute speed is not a vector quantity.

PUBLIC SERVANTS OR LORDS
Monarchy and aristocracy persisted widely till late 19th century. Later on, the stage was set for the modern egalitarians, who associated justice with linear social equality. In came democracy and socialism. However, in democratic capitalist societies, people equate wealth with power and social status, which represents an individual's overall ability to control or influence other people, institutions and justice.

COP 15
4.5 billion years ago Earth was created
540 million years ago life first stirred the oceans
Rain forest has been growing for 130 million years
and coral reefs are 18 million year old
200,000 year ago humans emerged and settled on the planet
But it took just one century to put the planet in peril.

Above are the campaign lines for the up coming 'United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 (COP15)', to be held on 7-18 December, 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference is being touted as the next big step after Kyoto protocol drawn up in 1997.
While 'monkey with axe' is at work, who gives a damn about climate. Heading for the conference would be a coherent beam of personnel with single motive i.e.. how to make billions and trillions out of the chaos.
Guru mantra is to invest in green (not in greenbacks pls!). Whole idea is to chase a new direction. Increased entropy in the existing system has rendered it a low potential zone. After all, how long could you screw the same old pit. Oil up - oil down, I think oil is getting sick of the irrational cycles. Investors need a fresh pasture and want to 'go green' where the sheep may come marching in later.
God must be crazy. While death's knockin at the door, man is busy trading futures.
Dump it all in the deep blue ocean and life would survive another billion years.

the Hole in the Wall

Generation after generations we pass on the legacy of traditions and orthodoxy in bid to standardize and homogenize society. We perceive the world through the dark glasses of conventionality. We measure abstracts on numeric scales (how stupid). Beauty has to conform to butt and bust measurements. Brain has to conform to the stereotype answers to silly questionnaire like:
- What quality do you like most about yourself and why?
- What is the one feature you'd change about yourself and why?
- What is your definition of success?
- If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
Guys, break free from the bondage of relativity. Nine-eleven the high-rise of hierarchy of status and class. Enjoy individuality. Write your own script without copying or overwriting someone else's.
Dig a hole in the wall. Look, someone is reaching out for his zipper and soon he will be aiming at the wall around you.
Long live Pink Floyd!!!

Do You Earn It?
Wife called him 'Sergeant' and kids addressed him 'Sergeant ji'. If any of his friends called out 'Ram' (his real name), he would be irked and would instantaneously counter with the amendment.
The behaviour surprised many. They thought 'Ram' was a godly name and how a person could have objection to such a heavenly name.
His old father came along one day and called him by his name. As usual the sergeant tendered the correction. Like many others, his father was not surprised but was shocked by this sudden metaphor. The old dandy was reluctant to post at the changed address.
The perplexed father questioned his son's title fetish. The sergeant replied, "This I earned for myself. That you gave me, and I prefer to keep what I earn. So you better call me Sergeant."
The old man thought for a while and gave a cold reply, "OK Sergeant, I think, I don't have much time left on me and I brought this will for you, but now I need to change it, cause you don't earn it."

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run. - (Sense of Opportunity)
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
There'll be time enough for countin when the dealin's done. - (Here is an Ace that imbibes whole of Gita ka Gyan - karm kiye ja, phal ki ichchha mat kar)
Now every gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep. - (Sense of Distinction)
cause every hands a winner and every hands a loser, - ( Here is another Ace - God has dealt same cards to everyone. its how you play them that matters)
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep. ( And the final Ace - Satisfaction is the checkered flag, and we all are losers on that count. we run out of gas on the track before the flag is down for us.)

2009 - Year of Dog
It may be the year of Ox for Chinese but for us it will be the year of Dog.
Four Golden globes (and may be a few Oscars) for this movie based on the land of breaking and building dreams called Dharavi and its people hanging on the noose of hope and shattered faith. A moment of pride for Dharavi.
...And India, as Dharavi is where India lives. It's the pillar of our modern society. Crammed with suckers, who suck the poison produce of the civilised human society, so that the city can sleep in peace and wake up fresh the next day.
Stinking like large intestines, they feel, it is an out of bound place for the outside world. Slumdog is a peep into the pipe through a hole. Guys like ABC may not be wrong when they cry obscenity. But these very guys drool over nudity and privacy of west. In clean and cosy confines of their bedrooms, they catch brunettes and blonds in the act with three legged studs. It sells hot cakes here and west has no sense of shame or reservation selling it. Now, if west has flavour and taste for our poverty porn, feed till they vomit.
For the time being let Slumdog has his day (the year too) and build his house next to ABC or ABC move next to him in Dharavi, kholi no. 420.

It's Showtime Folks...
My darling ant, living in Aamir's shelf of muscle building high protein supplements, was getting high on the spill. Her slender legs were becoming muscular with each dose. In few days she was able to stand on her hind pair and observe self in the reflection of the window pane. Ouch, a six pack trunk and muscular three pairs of limbs. She admired her body from each angle in every possible pose. She was on top of the world. Tired of self admiration alone, it was showtime.
Endowed with extra mass and a vision that had been restricted to the shoulders now, she descended from the shelf and headed toward the kitchen floor, where her friends of the lesser God were surviving on left-over carbs alone.
As expected, Ghajini ant surprised them all. This worker ant was easily mistaken for a queen. Elated with the response, she stood on her hind legs and began the display of mass and power. Other worker ants watched in awe. Just then they smelled and saw sweaty Aamir fast approaching them. They all dispersed and took cover. But ant Ghajini, blinded by inflated body and ego, kept the show going. Just then sky fell on her and she was crushed under Aamir's shoe.
Aamir prepared himself a drink of protein shake and gulped it down. It's showtime folks...

Reliving Big Bang
LHC is a super vacuumed centrifuge, studded with supercooled giant magnets, which will accelerate two hadron(protons) beams, in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, to the speed close to light . These beams with mass travelling close to the speed of light in opposite directions will then be made to collide. And boom... a big bang. But nothing to worry about as there is no anti matter, collision will convert only part matter into energy and most important is scientist want to study the matter created there after.

We don't need no Nasa no Nano
Global warming is again on the cross wire for changing climate and why not. Falling ice shelves and receding ice limits with warmer land etc. are disturbing the wind matrix on the face of the earth, thereby upsetting ocean currents. Not many forms of life would be able to endure these sudden changes.
Can we afford economical progress at the cost of life on earth and for whom then?
Are we brainless bacteria, who finally get into death phase of their growth cycle due to their utter disregard to the changing environment within a culture(biological). The very medium or culture, that is initially rich and conducive for their growth, turns into their death trap, as they multiply in size and number.
So my friends, go to sleep. Let there be tomorrow. The sun will shine again and whiff of fresh air will fill life with joy and happiness. Do not let this boat sink, cause earth alone is our last hope and not Moon or the Mars. We don't need no Nasa no Nano. Hey guys, leave this earth alone.

Lets move to London
Champion of optimism and a true nationalist, I am closely following up Indian challenge at Beijing. With little or no effort (like Usain Bolt), one after the other, Indians have been falling from the bird's nest to shop downtown or collect free condoms at the village.
Now left in the ring are three boxers from my native state. Oops... only two. As I was writing this, I received this on my yahoo - "Akhil Kumar knocked out in quarters."
But my optimism is still high with two to go. Even if all my hopes are dashed by 20th August, 2008, I will wait for the London games. After all, the Bolt, that strikes the nine pins, is a treat to watch.

Life is to change
Eversince, we have stepped into the twenty first century, our existence is increasingly getting uncertain, partly because of increasing number and diminishing resources and partly because of our bloating needs, which, I am afraid, are not very nature friendly.
Education and information are turning us into paranoids. We are getting wary of each other. Common man is reeling under identity crisis. In the name of creativity and originality we are screwing straight lines or skewing upright images. Music has turned into noise and entertainment into pure madness. Research and development is about proving the obvious wrong.
But all is not wrong. There is still a silver lining to the cloud and thread of brilliance with which the vicious spider is hanging. We got to straighten up our twisted and tangled psyches and lives. We have to withdraw ourselves from relativity and enjoy uniqueness of our own frame in this vast universe, respecting other's (x, y) at the same time. Only a sociological and psychological revolution may save this world now. We must work on changing the existing education system and curriculum.
Education today should be about becoming better creature and not better human.

Bees and the Bear
Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life...
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me...
If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
You're working too hard...
Getting back to the crux, unlike Baloo and the bees, we have stretched our needs much beyond the rationale of rainy days. We have lost the reason to work and possess. Its pure and simple greed which is driving us all. As a result human-hive is brooding a large population of greedy eunuch hogs thriving on else's sweat and sweet. Bare necessities are no longer easy and simple to come by. Worry and strife are always riding high on shoulders and playing over mind.
One day, this anthill would shrivel under the hollowness of substance and heat of lust and desire.

Earth Day - 22nd April
Any kind of bias is highly instable. Bias builds up potential difference, which instantaneously sets up motion, resulting in high entropy or randomness making the system stable.
Human race, by nature is biased, prejudiced and order loving. On the whole, a highly unstable package. Our alignment has wasted many of us in the past and will ultimately wipe the whole species out of the face of this earth someday.
On this day, we must pledge for a non aligned existence. There is beauty, peace and stability in diversity. Nobody is perfect in this world and as a cocktail we make a perfect drink that alone can give a perpetual High.
We will have to change our mindset to perceive order in disorder. That's what modern art is all about. There is a comfy butt place anywhere and everywhere, you just gotta shake those buns and adjust. Love thy neighbour but say no to brotherhood.
Desire spells disaster. Resign to the uncertainty. Long live Earth and all...

Handle with Care!
I have grown up since then. But now I have come across this bunch of civilized citizens in the twilight zone, who won't let children play in the grounds lest they(the grounds) would go bald. Ha -ha -ha!!! And these guys have little or no time to amend themselves.
Moreover, the complex managers have been using common areas, which we have already paid for, for commercial activities like coaching club etc. Also, thanks to the greed of builders and developers, there are no grounds left in the near vicinity. The ground between F and H block has been the latest victim to these predators.
Our young guns need to fire full barrels in the outdoors. So the grounds in the complex cannot be made out of bound for them.
In the end, to my senior and civilized friends:
How many times did you read and were told, not to drink or eat spicy food. But you did and ruined that delicate grass(lining) of your very own private stomach. But now, why this love and concern for the common grounds, which are basically meant for the growth of the most beautiful flowers on this earth ie our kids?
If you have no answer, laugh with me and amend.

Valentine's Day
I find those attachments raw and ugly. Creator has certainly not put in much time in designing those organs.
But still the world has been obsessed with them. Loads of web pages display them full blown from every angle and in every possible pose. Millions of surfers ogle and drool over with greed. But believe me, with regards private parts God has cut a sorry figure. Everyday I see those ugly sketches on the inner doors of our apartment elevator, drawn by servants, labourers or naughty kids with limited artistic bent. Those informal compositions, displaying private parts in public lift, do put us in embarrassing situation at times.
No different, as far as basic instincts go, I took cue from the lift door and thought of expanding the objects of desire into abstraction. Finally, the canvas had a curled pink and purple petals background with a solitary green cactus with brown hue, standing tall in the middle. On Valentine's day tomorrow, the painting, a blur replica of our elevator door, will find a place on my bedroom wall.
Only if God had not done this crude injustice, hearts wouldn’t have been selling on valentine day. Cause, hearts have nothing to do with love.

Cry for Injustice
Such insults to the weaker sections of society are a part of sociological behaviour of man. But alarming is direct intrusion and attack on them in their own territory, which puts their existence in jeopardy in this civilized world. But, we have blissfully closed our eyes to the bloody walls around us and have got involved in the kid's stuff. Sure these walls will have 'Injustice' written on them with our blood one day.
So guys, wake up now. Rise above petty 'Gilli danda stufff' and join that voice of protest and self defence, which is being smothered next door.

Global Warming? No worries, put that AC on.
One need not be a rocket scientist or possess super telescope to see what lies in store for this little planet. A holocaust is overdue but this time there will be no losers in the end. And this very fact and fear, recognised and shared by all, is leasing life to mankind. Nature is asking for sacrifice and all of us are looking at each other for the scapegoat.
Some politicians are having holiday in Bali these days and enjoying global warmth in winter months. Blame game and carbon trading are some of the popular themes at the meet. They all share concern over future but the common mood is to celebrate for now as they sing in chorus, "Hey Baby, Jee lene de is pal ko. Kal ki sochenge kal ko." (Let us live this moment. 'll think about future tomorrow.)
Guys, our runaway train, firing full cylinders, is approaching a dead end. Tie your seat belts and bend down forward, head on knees and hands on head in hope against hope to survive this final impact. Happy landing.

Disposable Culture
Rahiman dhaga prem ka, mat todo chatkai
Toote se phir na jude, jude gaanth pad jaye
But it took three centuries to find solution to that knot. King Camp Gillette, taking a cue from the crown cork (used in place of lost caps of bottle refills), designed the first disposable - a razor blade. We have come a long way since then. Today almost everything is disposable, from nappy to relationship.
Other day my 7 year old demanded a new pair of shoes. I enquired sheepishly, "Why, What happened? I just bought you a pair last month." He declared that the lace of one of the pair was broken. If I were in his place, I would have simply knotted the broken lace but for him I bought a new one, lace ofcourse.
Endless assembly lines roll out objects of desire day in and day out. The economy of scale and time has made it cheaper to buy a new piece rather than repairing the broken one. While some repairs are certainly beyond the realms of the ordinary consumer, many are incredibly simple, requiring just the replacement of a broken or worn-out part. But it is a time consuming task to find spares and menders, incase you can't handle it yourself.
Mending is a dead art. The Mochi sitting at our colony gate, has a visiting card and calls the spot 'Jug's Shoe Saloon'. He only polishes shoes and does no repair work. However, he does undertake (soul) changes.
Abiding by the use and throw policy, we are producing piles of waste and pollutants. Besides, we are putting a lot of pressure on natural resources. On the positive side, disposable culture has given a push to economy and technology. Energy required for mending broken stuff goes into making new things.
But I like to make things work. For the past five years, I have spent number of weekends repairing my son's old bicycle in order to keep it running. But seems my son has now run out of patience and I'll have to buy him a Firefox soon to make this relationship work.
