ELECTION HOLI 2014

For once Indians are pointing finger at themselves and showing the stain to the world. Yes, they are in process of picking a 'seemingly less dirty' shirt out of a stinking pile of dirty linen. A shirt which they would have to don for next five years. General Elections in India is a five yearly blue moon event when common man is hailed by the sitting and would be lords soon to be forgotten and left alone to languish in misery.
 
This year's elections are spiced up as coaltar has been added to the usual saffron & green gulaal Holi.  It all started when the ruling party was having a party. Anna's movement against corruption gathered steam as the government in power was plundering national resources & funds rampantly.  There was a huge media coverage of the movement. Common people from all walks of life came forward and protested against the prevailing corruption. A Lokpaal bill was drafted by Anna and company but politicians cutting across party lines were against the draft. As the demand for implementing the bill was growing louder, politicians started thinking of strategy to thwart the menace by breaking the movement. Once again 'divide and rule' ploy was used to dissolve the movement. A faction of Anna & company was lured into joining the elite power club under the leadership of AK. AK ate the apple and was expelled from the paradise. Sentenced to earth, AK landed with his men as Aam Aadmi Party. The common man received them as a gift sent from heaven and soon crowned him as the prince of Delhi darbaar. But chhote sarkar had a king size ambition. He relinquished Delhi crown in pursuit of greater goal. Armed with a brooshh and tar he jumped into the national arena to play election holi,  a game which he grossly misunderstood and underestimated. The earthly rural India rejected his idea of  tar so now he is trying to steal some green gulaal and save the day & face.
 

Holi aside, ages later, the system sucks. I find the party system in democracy outdated and misplaced. How could a single party with common interests represent an entire nation of over one billion people. I strongly advocate that the party system should be abolished, in stead, we should elect and send a bouquet of good people, who have a sound background of social service in their localities, to the parliament. And these 500 odd representatives along with a body of bureaucrats should work out a manifest and rule the nation.  

It will be difficult to execute the above model at the national level in the beginning but it may be tried and tested at state level first.

Flight 370

No SOS/ no phone calls/ switching off of data transmitter and transponder/ dive to low altitude serving dual purpose( radar obscurity and door opening)/ path of the flight and the final destination. From a sad disaster it all leads to a grand design. 

Probably after switching off the transponder, the pilot donned the oxygen mask and decompressed the aeroplane and continued on course for a while to make sure all the passengers rested in peace. Then he turned around and brought the plane to low altitude. He navigated over Malaysia and Indonesia before setting the final course and parachuting down. After the pilot(s) jumped to safety, the flight continued with its cargo of dead bodies to its crash landing destination on its preplanned route toward Antarctica deep down the Indian ocean. Never to be found out...

....sounds sick!! But then the world ain't in the pink of health

Science - God's Religion

God worked on his most ambitious project and created man. He endowed the super toy with a tiny chip of his mind along with other gizmos.
 
In the tropical resource rich woods on the banks of ancient rivers, human civilization flourished. The clever ones took up the job of learning and teaching. And they marketed their theories in the name of God and under the trade mark of Dharma(religion). They made rules and formulated code of conduct, which was binding on all. However, they kept the knowledge under wraps. This knowledge was only available to their families and caste. ....God's will thus far.
 
These knowledgeable guys enjoyed their status in the society and had little materialistic desires. They believed in indestructible soul and illusionary disposition of the universe. They gave body little importance and thought that by controlling senses and mind they could attain super-natural powers and finally crack the perishable shell of matter to come out of the great illusion, they all were bound to.
 
The creator got scared of his toy, who was about to wreck the stage he created for his entertainment. God gave a 180 degree twist to the script and started revealing algorithm and logic in nature and matter through common subjects, who were obsessed with material. A new religion was born called Science. The religion had its roots in material. It rewarded the disciples with materialistic rewards instantly. The master stroke worked. From soul, the man was swayed to material. Soul preachers and practitioners were frustrated in their wild goose chase and the toy was soon dancing on the beats of science and technology.
 
Science describes nature by way of principles, rules, theorems etc, but all these hold good under certain limits. However, we have seen the extent and realm of these principles stretching over the time. But till now we have not had a set of rules which are not limited by conditions. Having come thus far, scientist have ample indications that it all is a digital illusion. But having their roots deep down the matter, it will be hard for them to breach the limits, which bind us all to the material.
 

The creator is now preparing his toy for celestial launch and mobility as reward for his unperturbed obedience and faithfulness. Theatre Universe will rock with activity for a long-time as God has slyly reversed the bias of the tiny chip in the toy's brain. The poor toy has now moved far away from the switchboard to be able to switch off the light.

Overtake Fear to catch up with Peace...

Lion survives on flesh n blood not because of its own power but 'cause of the fear others have for it.  

Perpetrator and victim both are not equally culpable. It is the fear in victim, which provokes violence in the assailant, and the victim is punished suitably for the provocation subsequently.

Only way to end violence is:  Howsoever weak, always go down fighting. Not for the life, fight for the pride ('herd' may be more appropriate here) and against injustice.

God is Great

I went to our temple today and I told God that he was not doing his job properly. He retorted, man, I created the world and soon after lost interest in the seamlessly repetitive creation of mine. I left it to the mortals to come out of the cyclical grind but unfortunately they tend to get so lost in the state of tangential coma that they find it hard to come out of disgusting monotony of everyday morning crap. I gave man the gift of knowledge but alas!, he is not using it to break-free from the loathsome cycle, instead he is using it to sink deeper and deeper into it. 
 
I said sorry to God and bowed to his greatness.

Why can't Pakistan ever tie a friendship band on Indian wrist

Pakistan holds a strategic position on the world map. To American discomfort, it is the only weak link between China and oil rich (and US defiant) Iran. Our smart neighbour is well aware of the delicacy of the geographical situation that it enjoys. Wooed by the top two anti world powers (USA & China), she is a spoiled brat.

Friendship aside, the estranged sibling will keep hitting the poor brother at will. Its time for the elder bro to get up and hold nothing back and let Pak have it all.

Honesty is the best Politics


Religion & God were wonderful concepts for the development of mankind. But unfortunately, we saw propriety rights over these concepts claimed by Krishna & Avatar co., Mahavira & Associates, Buddha & Buddha co., Mohammed Pvt. Ltd., Jesus & sons etc.  
Non-violence, love and peace, the very core concepts and ideas of these religions were breached blatantly in in bid to claim the patent rights over God.
On the same lines..., honesty is a great concept for construction of a prosperous society. Lately we are seeing a wave of anti corruption movement in India. Well, a call of the moment. But unfortunately, its going the God's way. There is a bid to privatize the right to fight against corruption. Instead of fighting the menace together, there are different sects and clans claiming to have the sole right over fighting against corruption. Individual ambitions, aspirations and egos have clouded the beautiful core concept. The remedy is again going to become the cause.

Shakespeare-Einstein Theory


 From Einstein's postulate that the maximum possible speed in the universe is 'C', we may jump onto the conclusion that the world is digital.

C = D/T
Where C < ∞
Implies=> D ≠  ∞ and T ≠ 0

ie. Neither space could be infinite nor time could be zero. This implies that time is unitized having value greater than zero. Similarly, finiteness of space implies that the space is not in continuum but digital.

Understanding of Special Theory of relativity


At speed of light time attains max dilation and space is reduced down to a 'bit'. Any reference frame irrespective of its speed and position, can not dilate the time or shrink distance on the light frame any further. Hence, the speed of light is constant to all observers.

All in all, it’s a quantum world, where matter is fighting against the almighty energy for it’s existence. In it’s quest to assert space and inertia, matter is losing out on time. On the other hand, energy, while driving mass to restlessness, is leaving footprints on timeline in the form of dark energy or entropy or the information released (history). 

In simple analogy, a giant digital screen is being hit by a light beam carrying the code of life. I am curious to know, who’s watching us on the other side of the screen. I am not sure how long this soap opera would go on but I am sure of one thing, the guy watching us is gonna run out of popcorn one day.

Entropy is the measurement of time and rate of change of entropy determines the duration of period at a particular moment in time.

The rate of change of entropy is increasing with time. The rate of change of entropy during the early days of universe formation was slower than what it is today. With rate of change of entropy increasing, length of period is decreasing along the time arrow. Thus previous billion years was a longer period than the succeeding one in the absolute terms.

Light carries the code of Universe

Various frequencies & wavelengths of light showcase the universe.

All frequencies are in fact equivalent in absoluteness. Shorter wavelengths or higher frequencies represent beginning of the world i.e. tighter space dimensions and dilated time. While the longer wavelengths or lower frequencies take us towards the end of this universe - i.e. expanded space dimensions and contracted time period.

Evolution of stars also confirms the same.

Marching on a different path


In my below post, I am claiming that the energy is giving way to growing mass and space-time dimensions. This change is not happening in a continuum but it is a quantum change. Say for C to 9C/10 'a' level of energy, for 9C/10 to 8C/10 period 'b' level of energy and so on and so forth...

The universe is in quantum equilibrium. Existing laws of physics will hold good with in a universe speed range. Transition from one range to another will mean loss or gain of energy. This also explains, why someone will not be able to go in immediate past within an energy level and amend things. 

The model suggested by me is very raw at the moment, but it does explain issues like time travel and effects on objects approaching speed of light etc effectively.

PHYSICS – UPSIDE DOWN


Let me start by saying, "Long live Albert Einstein."

The worst thing about knowledge is that many a times it makes you turn a blind eye to the obvious.

Years of learning is now a sky kissing high-rise standing over a strong foundation of our belief in basic laws of Physics. Now, if someone tells you that all this while you were building upon a false ceiling, nobody would ever believe. 

Conservation of mass and energy are two such postulates, until Einstein came up with his special formula  E=mC^2, thereby busting the myth.

I would like to go little farther than the great game changer. Let’s rise above finity & approximation and travel back in time before the conception of our universe. There was a lonely singularity in nothingness. Incidentally, at one point it broke silence with a bang. A miniature universe was born as some energy changed into mass, time & space. This universe started expanding with more and more energy transforming into time-space and mass. Heavenly bodies started getting bigger and bigger while time gradually ticking faster and space dimensions getting bigger. Energy level of universe has been falling ever since and so is it's absolute speed. Space and mass are expanding while time is shrinking on the descending speed scale. Similarly gravity is gradually decreasing. In layman's lingo, universe photo frames are getting bigger and changing faster progressively. The next billion years will be much shorter in duration than previous billion years.

Going by this postulate, million years ago the earth was relatively much smaller as compared to what it is today. In fact the dinosaurs were not big animals. It is their fossils which have grown so large with time which make us think that they were very big creatures. 

From here we can predict the future & the end of this universe. And on a spaceship we can traverse the past...

It is simple to understand. Speed of universe on a scale of  'C' (speed of light) to 'Zero' is the timeline i.e. a particular absolute speed  corresponds to a particular time period. If one is able to attain an absolute speed other than that of  the existing universe, one will find oneself in that time period. One can only go in past because it is possible to attain speed more than that of the present universe only. Future remains physically out of reach as going slower is not possible because absolute speed is not a vector quantity.

Irrational Relativity


Junior's 10th board result was announced today. He was very happy to see a perfect 10 on the monitor. But soon the balloon of his happiness deflated as he saw 20 other balloons smiling over his school. The thought of sharing the podium with crowd was weighing heavy on him and soon absolute high gave way to relative depression. It was time to pull him out of the irrational relativity. A lecture on my favourite subject followed by a dinner outside did the trick.

'To be' and 'not to be', are the only two possibilities. 'May be' is an irrationality, we all are obsessed with. We have been limited to finity by Kaal (time). Bound by the two known terminals, birth and death, life is much ado about nothing...

Out of Randomness

Everyday in the morning, I run around Silver Oak's empty swimming pool to shed the excess calories stuffed in my midship tiers. I am not alone there. With me are thousands of ants collecting daily quota of calories during their early morning sorties. In my zeal to get rid of the telling signs of my hogging greed, I stamp over these industrious but puny creatures with impunity, killing several of them instantly. Not once sparing a thought.

It was just another day, as I was going to step over a lonely worker, I heard a painful whisper. I froze and listened. "God, why it has to be me? I have always done my duties religiously and I have never shirked or been bad to anyone. I do not understand your justice", was the little ant muttering.

I heed to her prayers and stretched my step a little bit longer to give this micro vessel a wide berth. But just then I felt the foundation of this grand universe shaking because of my biased action. I pulled back my foot to sink the escaping ship, which was destined to doom out of randomness.

Like all other social animals, fundamentally human societies are structured hierarchies having concentration of power at/around apex. Aristotle argues that some men are marked out by their inherent virtues for subjection, others for rule; "the man who is by nature not his own but another man's is by nature a slave." Aristotle states that tame animals are better off when ruled by man, and so are those who are naturally inferior and materialistic when ruled by their superiors.

Monarchy and aristocracy persisted widely till late 19th century. Later on, the stage was set for the modern egalitarians, who associated justice with linear social equality. In came democracy and socialism. However, in democratic capitalist societies, people equate wealth with power and social status, which represents an individual's overall ability to control or influence other people, institutions and justice.

A hierarchical order is inherent to all societies but breaking free from this order is a man's basic instinct. The reality is that no two men are born with the same abilities. However, these inequalities, if magnified to influence justice, kindle instinct for freedom in him. So we may say, anarchy is the most preferred form of government but it is not viable. On the other hand, misuse of power is an inherent trait and to fight against this misuse is our basic instinct.

'Crazy U'

As our Sons & Daughters grow up and get ready to leave the nest, our worry is to provide them with the best launching pad which may push them in a future, we think is bright and best for them. But most of the times the little fellas have their own 'idea' and are willing to assume the role of a 'Pa', which gives heartburns to the most docile of us.

In such situation one could do nothing but laugh, so read a hillarious recount of a poor Dad, Andrew Ferguson, in 'Crazy U - One Dad's Crash Course in Getting His Kid Into College.'

In search of a tree

I am in search of a tree after listening to below story:

There were four friends in a village school. Three brilliant and one idiot. But friends are friends. After studying for few years the idiot dropped out and started running errands at his father's farm. However, the other three completed their studies with merit. Not having the opportunities to suit their qualification in the village, the trio decided to move to the capital city. The idiot pleaded with the departing friends to take him along. Thinking that the idiot might come handy in households, the three agreed.

The four of them set out on the journey, which entailed passage through a thick forest. Midway through the woods, they came across a heap of bones. The wise-men exclaimed, "A Lion's bones!, Let's reconstruct it." One of them assembled the bones into a complete skeleton. The other one clad it in flesh and skin. Now the third one said that he could bring the lion back to life. Hearing that, the idiot exclaimed, " Are you crazy, the thing will eat us all when comes to life."

The wise men just laughed at him. The idiot begged them to wait until he climbed a tree. As soon as the idiot climbed the tree, last of the wise put life into the lion...

...And the idiot survived to witness the end of wisdom n wits.

Dream your own dream

Installed with five senses and an analytical brain, man started storing and synthesising all information. This exclusive trait gave him access to the secrets of the nature and a pie of God's mind.

Nevertheless, human psyche is still contrary to nature's philosophy. Nature loves what we call chaos. We love order or bias which nature does not approve. Earth was the chosen planet for life. God instilled a little bias on this planet by slightly tilting the earth's spin axis, which makes order loving life possible here.

Despite the distinguishing characteristic, man never let go his animalistic instincts, like appeasement, obedience & discipline in return for reward and fear, which he inherited from his fore fathers. Basically and largely, till date, he remains a social 'animal' and a tail wagging follower, but for individuals, who led mass campaigns and movements and wrote history.

In recent times, a country with rich heritage but enigmatic past has suddenly acquired the centre stage. A country, which does not recognise individual identity and has achieved greatness through large sets of uniform natural numbers. Yes, it is China, where they do not look at any hero in Chang, Ming or Pu but people as a collective common noun. The ardent and faithful followers from China are capable of executing any senseless or headless state decree to ten on ten e.g. in 1958 they killed all the sparrows, an action which was later credited with exacerbating the Great Chinese Famine in which more than 30 million people died of starvation.

Earth was always one, but man divided territories to protect regional ecology within a friendly culture. But today, in spite of disparity, diversity and differences among races, in an absolute loss of creativity, we have all united in our pursuit of a common dream. Predictability of human race is at its acme. The growing uniformity of human design is disturbing the natural design and creating serious ecological imbalance. It is now between the human will and nature's tolerance. In absence of any insulation, a regional tragedy of past brought upon by error of judgement will be of global magnitude now. We need to break our steps and go out of synch. Humanity is in distress and calling for more naysayer to control the listing ship before she heels over to the angle of loll and attains natural equilibrium.

Gravity VS Electo-magnetic forces

In an atom there are mainly two types of forces acting,

1. Gravity
2. Electro magnetic force

Pure matter comes wrapped in extremely tight space time curvature, almost an infinite gravity. Nucleus of an atom consists of protons and neutrons which may be considered as particles containing pure matter ( today it is believed that these composite particles further consist of Quarks etc). Within a nucleus, electro-magnetic force(similar charged particles) prevent these particles, protons and neutrons, from collapsing into one another. But still the nucleus has a very close knit of the space-time fabric. Now, the electrons come into picture.

Electrons are basically energy particles and have the Particle-Wave Duality. The electrons are using electro magnetic energy to stretch the tight space-time latex wrapped around the nucleus, which gives required dimensions and body to a nucleus.

26/11 Wikileaks

Big Noise on 26/11 Wikileaks. It's shocking that Indian people and media are shocked by the Wiki revelations.

USA has always shared a special relationship with Pakistan, which may not be out of choice but due to her important place in the Middle-East politics, more so after the disintegration of Soviet Union. China has become the biggest threat and US's enemy number one. Uncle Sam feels, ME must be insulated from China, at any cost. Afghanistan and Pakistan are the two weak links, which must be closely guarded in order to arrest the red army rising. As far as India is concerned, Uncle Sam considers us a harmless non-entity in this Asian Mahjong. 

Coming back to 26/11, Kasab is one of us. One who washed dog-legs and supplied zigromate on ships. Indians must know that we are fighting no one but ourselves. Meri skin teri skin se jyada safed hai. This mentality has reduced us to bloody Indians.

There is strength in unity. India, like China, must recognize her people's power and stop looking here and there for help. I remember following couplet by Iqbal: 
Khudi ko kar buland itna ki har taqdeer se pahle
Khuda bande se yeh poochhe, bataa teri razaa kya hai
  


So, India, stop grumbling and move ahead.

Balloon Theory of Universe

Creation of universe
A big bang boom!!! And lo! Time, Space, Matter and Antimatter were born.

Matter and antimatter were produced in equal quantities. Both started destroying each other on contact. At this time, space-time latex divided itself into two identical balloons in a Mitosis division separating matter and ant-matter. Matter and Anti-matter got embedded in the two separate balloons respectively. And then the two balloons started inflating in different planes clear of each other.

Embedded in inflating latex of time and space(gravity), celestial bodies are merrily on their outward journey to eternity, so it seems.

Blowing balloons
The balloons are inflating, that means the space-time matrix is stretching. It further implies that in forward progression:

- space dimensions are expanding.
- time is ticking faster
- space-time curvature is flattening
- gravity is reducing due to increasing surface tension

End of Universe
Something created, must climax and end. Our world is destined to end abruptly at climax.

At some point in time the two balloons would be so overstretched that space-time warp of gravity would be so flat that it will not be able to hold matter or anti-matter. The matter will just free float on the balloon surface and will be free of gravity with respect to each other. In other words, the entire design would collapse and become a liquid mass, just to be sucked in by the blackholes. Finally, the space-time latex will burst away and matter will annihilate the entire anti-matter, leaving just the singular, lonesome energy behind.

To Sir Ken Robinson with Love

Not only the education system but the whole social structure needs to be renewed. We need to scrap the rusting goal posts at the two ends of this ground. Soccer should not be about scoring and winning but a jazzy display of speed and technique.

The eye of the problem lies in setting goals and defining standards. Our close conformity to these protocols has resulted in just bricks in the wall and a whitewashed wall. The current social system has destroyed the most essential element of life, and that is diversity. Life is becoming a stark mono-coloured canvas.

The argument for the system is, motivation. Our actions are motivated by rewards. That's why goals and standards. It would be highly impossible to motivate people in a goalless or rewardless society. And since, the reward has a relative notion attached, defined standards become an integral part of the system.

There could only be one winner. The exercise starts at conception. Out of millions, only one sperm scores in a ruthless competition. Certainly, it would take not only a paradigm shift but a major alteration in our DNA to realize Sir Ken Robinson's dream. Would somebody change the code, please?

From classical to relativity and from relativity to quantum physics, science has travelled a long distance to arrive at what once the great Shakespeare wrote or for that matter what hindu vedas had professed long ago.

Now the science too believes that matter can be created out of nothing, all it needs are vibes emanating from consciousness. In other words, the world is just an individual perception of conscious. It all is nothing but 'maya', an illusion or the Grand Design.

Notwithstanding above preaching from Bhagvad Gita, all our actions have always been driven by result and reward. In fact, the deviation from Krishna's above preaching differentiate living from non-living. The sun, the moon, the earth , rivers, mountains etc. are totally bound to their job without any interest in result of their action and hence their movements are absolutely predictable. On the contrary, living beings are totally result oriented in their actions, thus highly unpredictable in their movements and behaviour.

Yearning for more and a changing definition of result and reward, keep them confused in decision making and leave everybody guessing of their actions in pursuit for reward. Many a times this pursuit takes them beyond the realm of rationality. Yet, the complex human mind finds trends and predictability in weird affairs of the living, specially human. Driven by the reward a man could get by knowing the future course of action of other people, man has been striving hard to develop an algorithm for POMDP policy computation. A mathematical equation to describe complexities of human mind. Sounds exciting! The algorithm is being used to instil life in robots.

But more motivated are the financial institutions, who are desperate to look into the psyche of investors so that they could invest in futures ahead of the mob and make tons of money.

Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away, know when to run.

With 'karma' closely following reward, we are heading into greater chaos. Everyday, stuck in traffic jams, I wish, if someone could write an algorithm to wriggle out of the mess, which is not half as complex as human mind. Yet, the day begins with a bigger jam and the traffic policeman at the crossing, appears to be doing greater duty to the mankind than all those great people, who wrote history and thus this murky future for us.

To them, common man is just a 'human resource', who's price is a simple derivative of supply and demand. No doubt man has reduced to a resource. And it is the only resource which is growing quantitatively with time. Reason being, it chooses reproduction act as the main source of  recreation.

The system sucks. If it is all 'for me, of me and by me', then how the hell this cheap tag on me? The human species is next to God (or supreme to Atheists). The plight of fellow humans is painful and beyond my comprehension, 'cause in him and them, I see me.

Silver lining is, I am pretty much sure that the day would come when information will come handy and play it's role in 'rise and fall of Hitlers.'

TERI maa ki...

After basking in sun and glory for long, Mr. Pachauri and his TERI, 'The Energy Research Institute', have come under rapid fire of frozen balls as 'brass monkey weather' prevails in entire Northern Hemisphere.

TERI's belief of global warming causing disappearance of ice on the 'mother' earth, which snowballed into a faith and a huge movement, has been whitewashed (momentarily) by the prolonged spell of snowfall this winter. To add to the cry, Mr Pachauri's conduct and lavish life style is not jelling to the group's preaching. True, It needs a Mahatma to lead a massive campaign of this order.

The worldwide criticism and rebuke that Mr. Pachauri is weathering is harsher than the winter itself as it is too early to rubbish the global warming funda and all that ho-halla at Copenhagen. Warming or no warming, the consumer base is expanding at an alarming rate and if we don't mend our ways, a day would come when 'survival of the fittest' will become order of the day. Sentimental words like love, charity, pity, benevolence etc will disappear from oxford dictionary. There will be just hate and fear n the law of the wild like we have in Haiti these days.

But for now, the 'Yes Brigade' is having a laugh and spewing heat on Pachauri and his $1200 suit, which is just too much for the poor delicate fabric to handle.

Unique Identification Authority of India

A techno buff is going to turn us all into numbers. A billion odd numbers on government roster will create further nuisance value in the system. Many of us will be employed to rig the geometry of bogus UIDs.

They say that Unique National IDs will help address the rigged state elections, widespread embezzlement that affects subsidies and poverty alleviation programs and at the same time it will check illegal immigration and terrorist threats.

But experience begs to differ on the claim. Increased mechanisation and computerisation in the past has not been able to stop criminals at the doorsteps of House of Common or legislative assemblies. In fact their number has been increasing despite of various rules and regulations coming into farce. All these politicians and brokers of power are dancing naked in the open air Hamam with their middle finger up in the air.

The reason is simple, there must be the will to curb corruption or misuse of power. In absolute absence of 'the soul will', no matter what system you build, will present a huge gateway (of India) to all those terrorists and criminals, whereas the man in Jharkhand or Orissa, as usual, will spend the entire life searching for mango kernel to sustain growth (after all we all grow up with time - technically). On the brighter side, this ground search will save him the misery of watching the middle finger abuse and ugly nakedness of humanity.

Looking up, UIDAI is just a wasteful exercise in the name of growth and cleansing of human civilization. In stead, a massive search operation to re-install the lost human conscience is required. Merely, tagging the soulless heads is a sham as the existing system itself.

Of beliefs and faiths - and their conflict and shift

Strange world that we live in. Our existence is wholly dependent on relativity and in absence of reference frames we just get lost. I don't know who, what or where I am unless I have another lost soul around.

In such a world our belief and faith can not be universal since it is frame dependent and we all have different frames, different views, different aspects etc. If there are 'n' number of people, there would be 'n' number of perceptions to an event.

But, as a society, it is not possible to move with scattered or fractured belief. Therefore, all social animals have a hierarchical structure. Elders and wise men of the societies, define standards, norms, protocols and rules based on past experiences and assumptions. These beliefs are passed on to generations after generations by parents, teachers, religious leaders and schools. And we live by these paradigms, which are fully endorsed by the respective societies we live in. A strict discipline is required to maintain law and order in the society and any infringement to the expected way of life is considered unlawful and anti social.

However, there is nothing rational about any of them. It's our mutual acceptance and obedience, which make them so real that most of the times the societies suffer from paradigm paralysis.

In a more rational world, new flow of information and experience should give rise to paradigm shift. But usually, the individual perception conflict faces stiff resistance and inertia before becoming evolutionary paradigm shift. It took ages for man to universally accept that it was actually the earth which revolved round the sun and not the way, God(Bible) perceived it.

Notwithstanding anything said above, adherence to the rule of the society, we live in, is paramount. Any conflict of opinion must be resolved patiently and peacefully. Changes will keep on taking place because change defines time. If matter is to inertia, life (time) is to change. And time is the boss... not matter.

For the bottom line, I maintain, Ignorance is bliss and matter is as irrational as the time itself.

Over usd200mill movie, filled with great visual and sound effects, will keep you on the edge throughout. But the script is nothing more than a senseless fiction.
Like always, I maintain, it has to be man vs man and not nature which is going to wipe us out of the face of this earth. The intense hatred will get the 'bustard' anywhere in the universe, be it a bunker on moon or be it a reboot spaceship.

Above are the campaign lines for the up coming 'United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 (COP15)', to be held on 7-18 December, 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference is being touted as the next big step after Kyoto protocol drawn up in 1997.

While 'monkey with axe' is at work, who gives a damn about climate. Heading for the conference would be a coherent beam of personnel with single motive i.e.. how to make billions and trillions out of the chaos.

Guru mantra is to invest in green (not in greenbacks pls!). Whole idea is to chase a new direction. Increased entropy in the existing system has rendered it a low potential zone. After all, how long could you screw the same old pit. Oil up - oil down, I think oil is getting sick of the irrational cycles. Investors need a fresh pasture and want to 'go green' where the sheep may come marching in later.

God must be crazy. While death's knockin at the door, man is busy trading futures.

Today the greatest Irony of mankind is our education system. I know, I am addressing to the set of people, who are of explicit conventionality and who strictly conform to pre-defined standards of propriety. We deal with society as something finally squared and settled, with no room for freaks (that's what we call them).

Generation after generations we pass on the legacy of traditions and orthodoxy in bid to standardize and homogenize society. We perceive the world through the dark glasses of conventionality. We measure abstracts on numeric scales (how stupid). Beauty has to conform to butt and bust measurements. Brain has to conform to the stereotype answers to silly questionnaire like:
  • What quality do you like most about yourself and why?
  • What is the one feature you'd change about yourself and why?
  • What is your definition of success?
  • If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
There are schools and teachers all around us. We all belong to one or the other school of stereotype copycats or birds of the same feather (thought). In other words we are nothing but prisoners in the walls around us and our originality rests in peace somewhere buried deep under the wall.

Guys, break free from the bondage of relativity. Nine-eleven the high-rise of hierarchy of  status and class. Enjoy individuality. Write your own script without copying or overwriting someone else's.

Dig a hole in the wall. Look, someone is reaching out for his zipper and soon he will be aiming at the wall around you.

Do You Earn It?

Wife called him 'Sergeant' and kids addressed him 'Sergeant ji'. If any of his friends called out 'Ram' (his real name), he would be irked and would instantaneously counter with the amendment.

The behaviour surprised many. They thought 'Ram' was a godly name and how a person could have objection to such a heavenly name.

His old father came along one day and called him by his name. As usual the sergeant tendered the correction. Like many others, his father was not surprised but was shocked by this sudden metaphor. The old dandy was reluctant to post at the changed address.

The perplexed father questioned his son's title fetish.The sergeant replied, "This I earned for myself. That you gave me, and I prefer to keep what I earn. So you better call me Sergeant."

The old man thought for a while and gave a cold reply, "OK Sergeant, I think, I don't have much time left on me and I brought this will for you, but now I need to change it, cause you don't earn it."

But infact, it all started after Eve ate the apple, leaf acquired the centre stage on human body, which constantly intrigued both of them from then on as to "Patti ke pichhe kya hai?" The curiosity has resulted in trillions of us, many dead cats and others surviving.

I am sitting in the office and sweating profusely under my clothes in 40 degree C room temperature as all power appliances rest in peace here. They all are martyr to an over-efficient Sun and a grossly under-efficient state electricity board.

I envy the electricity board, which has right to shed but we don't. Clothes on me have lost the sense of purpose yet I have to don them for the leafy concept.

Wish my bottle of beer, bare ass and hell with shameful hypocrisy!!!

2009 - Year of Dog

It may be the year of Ox for Chinese but for us it will be the year of Dog.

Four Golden globes (and may be a few Oscars) for this movie based on the land of breaking and building dreams called Dharavi and its people hanging on the noose of hope and shattered faith. A moment of pride for Dharavi.

...And India, as Dharavi is where India lives. It's the pillar of our modern society. Crammed with suckers, who suck the poison produce of the civilised human society, so that the city can sleep in peace and wake up fresh the next day.

Stinking like large intestines, they feel, it is an out of bound place for the outside world. Slumdog is a peep into the pipe through a hole. Guys like ABC may not be wrong when they cry obscenity. But these very guys drool over nudity and privacy of west. In clean and cosy confines of their bedrooms, they catch brunettes and blonds in the act with three legged studs. It sells hot cakes here and west has no sense of shame or reservation selling it. Now, if west has flavour and taste for our poverty porn, feed till they vomit.

For the time being let Slumdog has his day (the year too) and build his house next to ABC or ABC move next to him in Dharavi, kholi no. 420.

It's Showtime Folks...

My darling ant, living in Aamir's shelf of muscle building high protein supplements, was getting high on the spill. Her slender legs were becoming muscular with each dose. In few days she was able to stand on her hind pair and observe self in the reflection of the window pane. Ouch, a six pack trunk and muscular three pairs of limbs. She admired her body from each angle in every possible pose. She was on top of the world. Tired of self admiration alone, it was showtime.

Endowed with extra mass and a vision that had been restricted to the shoulders now, she descended from the shelf and headed toward the kitchen floor, where her friends of the lesser God were surviving on left-over carbs alone.

As expected, Ghajini ant surprised them all. This worker ant was easily mistaken for a queen. Elated with the response, she stood on her hind legs and began the display of mass and power. Other worker ants watched in awe. Just then they smelled and saw sweaty Aamir fast approaching them. They all dispersed and took cover. But ant Ghajini, blinded by inflated body and ego, kept the show going. Just then sky fell on her and she was crushed under Aamir's shoe.

Aamir prepared himself a drink of protein shake and gulped it down. It's showtime folks...

Reliving Big Bang

Cern's LHC will come to life in next two hours and take us back to the start line, where the universe started.

LHC is a super vacuumed centrifuge, studded with supercooled giant magnets, which will accelerate two hadron(protons) beams, in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction, to the speed close to light . These beams with mass travelling close to the speed of light in opposite directions will then be made to collide. And boom... a big bang. But nothing to worry about as there is no anti matter, collision will convert only part matter into energy and most important is scientist want to study the matter created there after.

Storms brewing up in Atlantic have made a beginning of a violent hurricane season. Gustav, Hanna and Ike, all influenced by Biejing Olympics, look like to be competing with each other. After Gustave, Hanna had its toll on human life. Now Ike is heading west with all its might with Josephine trailing back. Floods, tsunami and earthquakes are having a heavier toll.

Global warming is again on the cross wire for changing climate and why not. Falling ice shelves and receding ice limits with warmer land etc. are disturbing the wind matrix on the face of the earth, thereby upsetting ocean currents. Not many forms of life would be able to endure these sudden changes.

Can we afford economical progress at the cost of life on earth and for whom then?

Are we brainless bacteria, who finally get into death phase of their growth cycle due to their utter disregard to the changing environment within a culture(biological). The very medium or culture, that is initially rich and conducive for their growth, turns into their death trap, as they multiply in size and number.

So my friends, go to sleep. Let there be tomorrow. The sun will shine again and whiff of fresh air will fill life with joy and happiness. Do not let this boat sink, cause earth alone is our last hope and not Moon or the Mars. We don't need no Nasa no Nano. Hey guys, leave this earth alone.

Lets move to London

Over one billion Indians and that one shot in the blue to pamper our pride in the nationality. On the other hand, China's gold plunder at Beijing has crashed the world gold market.

Champion of optimism and a true nationalist, I am closely following up Indian challenge at Beijing. With little or no effort (like Usain Bolt), one after the other, Indians have been falling from the bird's nest to shop downtown or collect free condoms at the village.

Now left in the ring are three boxers from my native state. Oops... only two. As I was writing this, I received this on my yahoo - "Akhil Kumar knocked out in quarters."

But my optimism is still high with two to go. Even if all my hopes are dashed by 20th August, 2008, I will wait for the London games. After all, the Bolt, that strikes the nine pins, is a treat to watch.

Eversince, we have stepped into the twenty first century, our existence is increasingly getting uncertain, partly because of increasing number and diminishing resources and partly because of our bloating needs, which, I am afraid, are not very nature friendly.

Education and information are turning us into paranoids. We are getting wary of each other. Common man is reeling under identity crisis. In the name of creativity and originality we are screwing straight lines or skewing upright images. Music has turned into noise and entertainment into pure madness. Research and development is about proving the obvious wrong.

But all is not wrong. There is still a silver lining to the cloud and thread of brilliance with which the vicious spider is hanging. We got to straighten up our twisted and tangled psyches and lives. We have to withdraw ourselves from relativity and enjoy uniqueness of our own frame in this vast universe, respecting other's (x, y) at the same time. Only a sociological and psychological revolution may save this world now. We must work on changing the existing education system and curriculum.

Education today should be about becoming better creature and not better human.

Bees and the Bear

Bare Necessities, simple and easy to come by.
When talking of bare necessities, one can't avoid mumbling Baloo's number from the movie 'The Jungle book'.

Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life...

The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me...

If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
You're working too hard...
The number provides a number of reasons to live on bare necessities. Yes Sir Rudyard Kippling, I fully agree with you. World would have been a better place if undies were never called undies. But I disagree with Baloo the bear, who has been an out right Hypocrite when he taunts bees for collecting beyond their daily quota and claims that he himself lives on the bear minimum. In fact, half the year he is hogging and hoarding food in his big belly, saving for the winter days, when he would go into hibernation. No different than the ants and the bees, who work and save for the rainy days.

Getting back to the crux, unlike Baloo and the bees, we have stretched our needs much beyond the rationale of rainy days. We have lost the reason to work and possess. Its pure and simple greed which is driving us all. As a result human-hive is brooding a large population of greedy eunuch hogs thriving on else's sweat and sweet. Bare necessities are no longer easy and simple to come by. Worry and strife are always riding high on shoulders and playing over mind.

One day, this anthill would shrivel under the hollowness of substance and heat of lust and desire.

Earth Day - 22nd April

We live in a world where randomness and disorder are the order of the day. Principle of maximum entropy prevails. Energy and matter both seek inertial uniformity.

Any kind of bias is highly instable. Bias builds up potential difference, which instantaneously sets up motion, resulting in high entropy or randomness making the system stable.

Human race, by nature is biased, prejudiced and order loving. On the whole, a highly unstable package. Our alignment has wasted many of us in the past and will ultimately wipe the whole species out of the face of this earth someday.

On this day, we must pledge for a non aligned existence. There is beauty, peace and stability in diversity. Nobody is perfect in this world and as a cocktail we make a perfect drink that alone can give a perpetual High.

We will have to change our mindset to perceive order in disorder. That's what modern art is all about.There is a comfy butt place anywhere and everywhere, you just gotta shake those buns and adjust. Love thy neighbour but say no to brotherhood.

Desire spells disaster. Resign to the uncertainty. Long live Earth and all...

Fatal Attraction

Yet another finely done up mall sprung up next door. Spic n span interiors with beautiful colours and an orderly display of luring stuff. That was Spencers Retail mart at MGF mall in Gurgaon.

Spencers sounded very homely and I, against my nature, purchased two items viz. Sunflame gas stove and Philips Audio system. That was in January, 2008. But to my dismay, both items, though branded, turned out to be defective.

Well, I might like to forget the incidence as one night stand. But surely, Spencer’s would not like to be branded as just another hoover in town.

Handle with Care!

When I was a kid, my parents bought me new clothes but I won't wear them lest they would get dirty. I roamed around naked and they all just laughed at me.

I have grown up since then. But now I have come across this bunch of civilized citizens in the twilight zone, who won't let children play in the grounds lest they(the grounds) would go bald. Ha -ha -ha!!! And these guys have little or no time to amend themselves.

Moreover, the complex managers have been using common areas, which we have already paid for, for commercial activities like coaching club etc. Also, thanks to the greed of builders and developers, there are no grounds left in the near vicinity. The ground between F and H block has been the latest victim to these predators.

Our young guns need to fire full barrels in the outdoors. So the grounds in the complex cannot be made out of bound for them.

In the end, to my senior and civilized friends:
How many times did you read and were told, not to drink or eat spicy food. But you did and ruined that delicate grass(lining) of your very own private stomach. But now, why this love and concern for the common grounds, which are basically meant for the growth of the most beautiful flowers on this earth ie our kids?

If you have no answer, laugh with me and amend.

Valentine's Day

I find those attachments raw and ugly. Creator has certainly not put in much time in designing those organs.

But still the world has been obsessed with them. Loads of web pages display them full blown from every angle and in every possible pose. Millions of surfers ogle and drool over with greed. But believe me, with regards private parts God has cut a sorry figure. Everyday I see those ugly sketches on the inner doors of our apartment elevator, drawn by servants, labourers or naughty kids with limited artistic bent. Those informal compositions, displaying private parts in public lift, do put us in embarrassing situation at times.

No different, as far as basic instincts go, I took cue from the lift door and thought of expanding the objects of desire into abstraction. Finally, the canvas had a curled pink and purple petals background with a solitary green cactus with brown hue, standing tall in the middle. On Valentine's day tomorrow, the painting, a blur replica of our elevator door, will find a place on my bedroom wall.

Only if God had not done this crude injustice, hearts wouldn’t have been selling on valentine day. Cause, hearts have nothing to do with love.

Cry for Injustice

Indian cricket team playing down under, gets some dubious decisions from the two Penguin like creatures on the ground and whole of India moans in pain as if the cherry had hit them straight on their balls with no guard on. (I doubt very much if we actually have a pair.)
Indian News papers and TV channels, who are always short of matter, got some fodder to chew and cud. Similarly, Indian masses known for having a solid digestion system against injustice or rebuke, failed to digest this one and result was mass heartburn and flatulence.
It is strange that few white collar players, passing their time on field in slow animation with hide and stick, keep our adrenaline levels high. And any inappropriate action or inaction on part of those stationary officials, who are restricted to minimal animation of a yawn or hand signs including finger gestures, challenges our sleeping manhood.

Such insults to the weaker sections of society are a part of sociological behaviour of man. But alarming is direct intrusion and attack on them in their own territory, which puts their existence in jeopardy in this civilized world. But, we have blissfully closed our eyes to the bloody walls around us and have got involved in the kid's stuff. Sure these walls will have 'Injustice' written on them with our blood one day.

So guys, wake up now. Rise above petty 'Gilli danda stufff' and join that voice of protest and self defence, which is being smothered next door.

Global Warming? No worries, put that AC on.

The best quality in all mortals is HOPE. We all live and survive on hope against hope. Even if the future is dark as Black Hole, hope to see the end of tunnel keeps us going through the day.

One need not be a rocket scientist or possess super telescope to see what lies in store for this little planet. A holocaust is overdue but this time there will be no losers in the end. And this very fact and fear, recognised and shared by all, is leasing life to mankind. Nature is asking for sacrifice and all of us are looking at each other for the scapegoat.

Some politicians are having holiday in Bali these days and enjoying global warmth in winter months. Blame game and carbon trading are some of the popular themes at the meet. They all share concern over future but the common mood is to celebrate for now as they sing in chorus, "Hey Baby, Jee lene de is pal ko. Kal ki sochenge kal ko." (Let us live this moment. 'll think about future tomorrow.)

Guys, our runaway train, firing full cylinders, is approaching a dead end. Tie your seat belts and bend down forward, head on knees and hands on head in hope against hope to survive this final impact. Happy landing.

Let it go down the drain

We win the twenty-twenty matka(game of chance) and a billion odd asses think the world is there to kiss them. We made a big halla-gulla as if we had conquered heaven. Indra, the rain god, was the first to retaliate and make us realize our worth. Few hours of his tantrums last Friday and the constipated city sewage system puked. Dead of this ghost city had to endure hours of stinking ordeal on their way back to their respective graves(homes).
Sewage and drainage system is the foundation of the urban planning. The Indus Valley Civilization boasted the earliest known accounts of urban planning, and the ancient Indus systems of sewage and drainage that were developed and used in cities throughout the Indus Valley were far more advanced than that of contemporary urban sites in the Middle East. Probably due to excessive rain, it was imperative to have an effective system in place.
Having a head start from rest of the world, we have not only lost the advantage but today we are pushed into the most sub-human era of all times. Greedy builders are busy going vertical while lethargic and corrupt town planners are in a stupor. Existing storm valves and pipes are choked with plastic and rubber, unable to see off this higher and heavier than ever shitfall.
Today we boast ourselves as one of the fastest growing economy. Money is flowing here as never before and we see this money twinkling through a slummed and rotten canvas where, air, water and earth present ample opportunity for man to display his survival instinct.
What did you hear? Survival? Ghosts need not worry in this haunted township.

Disposable Culture

Great poet Rahim was the pioneer of the disposable culture way back in 16th century, when he wrote:

Rahiman dhaga prem ka, mat todo chatkai
Toote se phir na jude, jude gaanth pad jaye

But it took three centuries to find solution to that knot. King Camp Gillette, taking a cue from the crown cork (used in place of lost caps of bottle refills), designed the first disposable - a razor blade. We have come a long way since then. Today almost everything is disposable, from nappy to relationship.

Other day my 7 year old demanded a new pair of shoes. I enquired sheepishly, "Why, What happened? I just bought you a pair last month." He declared that the lace of one of the pair was broken. If I were in his place, I would have simply knotted the broken lace but for him I bought a new one, lace ofcourse.

Endless assembly lines roll out objects of desire day in and day out. The economy of scale and time has made it cheaper to buy a new piece rather than repairing the broken one. While some repairs are certainly beyond the realms of the ordinary consumer, many are incredibly simple, requiring just the replacement of a broken or worn-out part. But it is a time consuming task to find spares and menders, incase you can't handle it yourself.

Mending is a dead art. The Mochi sitting at our colony gate, has a visiting card and calls the spot 'Jug's Shoe Saloon'. He only polishes shoes and does no repair work. However, he does undertake (soul) changes.

Abiding by the use and throw policy, we are producing piles of waste and pollutants. Besides, we are putting a lot of pressure on natural resources. On the positive side, disposable culture has given a push to economy and technology. Energy required for mending broken stuff goes into making new things.

But I like to make things work. For the past five years, I have spent number of weekends repairing my son's old bicycle in order to keep it running. But seems my son has now run out of patience and I'll have to buy him a Firefox soon to make this relationship work.
